“Through the wonderful combo of punk rock and musical theatre, American Idiot tells the story of three friends who try to escape the mundane reality of their boring suburban town and move to the city in search of purpose and meaning. Directing American Idiot for Musical Theatre Society has been one of the highlights of my time at UCL; it isn’t often that you get the chance to stage one of your favourite shows of all time in a proper off-west end theatre with such a hardworking and talented group of people!”
